Streams the scanner with lock-screen controls — keeps playing when you switch apps or turn the screen off.

Incident alerts
A high-priority notification fires the instant a new fire/rescue incident is detected. Tap it to jump straight to the call.

Incident feed
AI summaries, status, and the radio-traffic transcript for each incident — with per-call clip playback.

The app checks for new versions itself and walks you through installing them. Grab it once here.
How to install

Tap “Download for Android”
Do this on the phone you want the app on, using its web browser. Your browser saves
laurel-dispatch.apk to your Downloads.2
Open the downloaded file
Tap it from the download banner, or open Files / Downloads and tap

Allow installs from your browser — one time
Because this isn’t the Play Store, Android asks the first time. Tap Settings on the prompt, flip on “Allow from this source” (Install unknown apps), then press back.

Tap Install → Open
Android shows its own confirm screen — tap Install, then Open. That’s it. Future updates happen inside the app.
iPhone? There’s no iOS app — Apple doesn’t allow sideloading fire-scanner apps. On any phone or computer you can still use the full live site at dispatch.laurelnetwork.com.

Is it safe?
It’s the same project that runs this site, signed with our own key. Only ever install it from this page. If you like to verify, the version 1.6 file’s SHA-256 is

It’s an independent, self-hosted project. Sideloading skips the store review and lets updates ship straight from the source — the app handles them for you after the first install.
Does it cost anything or need a login?
No. It’s free, has no account, and reads the same public, read-only feed as the website.
Getting a “Play Protect” or “unsafe” warning?
That’s Android’s standard notice for any app installed outside the Play Store. Choose Install anyway / More details → Install without scanning to continue.
